Mission statement

The mission of Grace Bible church is to evangelize the lost, edify the saints and equip the body of Christ for service. Salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone by grace alone. Edification and equipping the body of Christ is accomplished through consistent Biblical teaching.

Biography

Pastor Mark Goad was ordained as a Pastor-Teacher in Little Rock, AR., on June 13th, 2004. He became the Pastor of Grace Bible Church, Hot Springs, AR. on August 1st, 2008. Prior to serving as a Pastor, Mark served as a Police Officer in Jacksonville, FL. from 1990 to 2008. His years in Law Enforcement prepared him to become the Pastor-Teacher that God gifted him to be. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian studies from Logos Christian College.

Pastor Mark teaches the Bible verse by verse utilizing the literal-grammatical interpretation of Scripture. The Bible was not written in English but Hebrew, Greek and some Aramaic. For this reason, he teaches the accurate meaning of Scripture based on what the original languages convey. The method of teaching Mark applies is best described by the acronym: ICE.

  • Categories the systematic study of the categories of Scripture.
  • Exegesis interpreting the Bible according to proper Hebrew/Greek syntax and grammar.

Mark has been married to his wife Kathryn for 30 years. They have four adult children and five grandchildren.
Mark’s father, John Goad served in the Navy in WW2 and in the Vietnam War. During his tenure in the Military, mark’s father became a Navy Chaplain and after retirement a Baptist Pastor. Mark’s father passed away in 1999. Mark’s mother, Betty lives in Florida and listens regularly to her son online.
Mark’s parents instilled in him a love for, the word of God, the US Military, freedom, and a strong sense of patriotism.
Mark has a special place in heart for the men and women of Law Enforcement. Eighteen years in that profession gave him an appreciation for the thin blue line that protects the sheep from the wolves.
Now Mark has the God given privilege to continue as the sheepdog only the wolf he fights is not physical but spiritual in the form of false teaching that leads people astray. It is his purpose in life to accurately teach sound Biblical doctrine to anyone who wants to listen and learn.
